Terms of Service
The agreement between you and So Far So Good — how the platform works, what we expect from members, and what you can expect from us.
Last updated: 12 July 2026
1. Who we are and acceptance of these terms
So Far So Good (“we”, “us”, the “platform”) is operated by SMRS Media SLU and available at https://sofarsogood.love. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the platform. By creating an account or using So Far So Good, you agree to be bound by these terms.
The following policies form part of your agreement with us and are incorporated by reference: Creator Terms, Early Copy Terms, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Community Guidelines and the Copyright & Takedown Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the platform.
2. Definitions
- Creator (also “Producer”) — a member who uploads their own unreleased music to the platform.
- Supporter — a member who voluntarily supports a Creator with a payment.
- Support — a voluntary payment made by a Supporter to a Creator. Support is not a purchase of music or of any rights in it.
- Early Copy — a full-quality download of an unreleased project that a Supporter can unlock by supporting the Creator. An Early Copy Download is the delivered file.
- Early Ears — members who listen to and review unreleased music.
- So Good — the platform’s positive-reaction marker that members leave on projects.
- Host — a platform administrator responsible for moderation and safety.
- Anonymous — the public identity state of every project: the Creator’s identity is hidden from other members unless the Creator chooses to reveal it.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering you confirm that you meet this requirement, that the email address you provide is accurate and yours, and that you will keep your login credentials secure. Each account is personal to one individual (or, for label accounts, one organisation) and may not be shared or transferred.
Membership is required to upload music, leave feedback, send messages, support Creators and unlock Early Copies. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
4. What So Far So Good is — and is not
So Far So Good is a platform where Creators share unfinished and unreleased music anonymously, gather honest feedback from Early Ears, and receive voluntary support from listeners who want an early copy. DJs and labels discover music here by its sound, not by who made it.
So Far So Good is not a music store. We do not sell music, and Supporters do not purchase music or acquire any rights in it. We are not a record label, a music distributor or a streaming service. Support is a voluntary payment to a Creator; the Early Copy Download it unlocks is a thank-you in the form of early access, licensed under the Early Copy Terms.
5. The Support model
A Supporter can support a Creator by offering an amount of their choice on a project. Each Creator privately sets an unlock amount for their project: a request at or above that amount unlocks the Early Copy automatically, while other requests wait for the Creator to accept or decline them. A Creator may also disable Early Copies for a project entirely and simply collect feedback.
Unlocking an Early Copy on any version of a project unlocks every version of that project, including versions the Creator uploads later, at no additional cost. Supporters can re-download their unlocked Early Copies; download links are short-lived for security, and a fresh link can be requested at any time.
6. Fees and payments
All amounts on the platform are in Euro (EUR). Support payments are made directly from the Supporter to the Creator’s PayPal account (PayPal’s own charges, if any, apply under PayPal’s terms). Whether a Creator contributes a share back to So Far So Good is entirely the Creator’s choice. We never receive, hold or transmit your money — other than a Creator Contribution a Creator has voluntarily enabled, which is retained from the support at checkout before the remainder is paid to the Creator (see the Creator Terms).
Payments are processed entirely by PayPal; your payment details are entered with PayPal and never touch our servers. PayPal notifies us when a payment completes so we can unlock the Supporter’s Early Copy. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy. If we ever introduce a platform fee, it will be announced in advance and shown clearly before any payment.
7. Your content and the licence you grant us
Creators keep all rights in the music they upload — uploading never transfers ownership of anything to So Far So Good. By uploading, a Creator grants us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence that exists solely to operate the platform, covering:
- storing your files in private storage;
- streaming previews to members;
- displaying artwork and metadata;
- generating waveforms;
- processing audio — for example preparing streaming renditions and embedding identifying metadata in Early Copy Downloads;
- delivering Early Copies to Supporters who have unlocked them;
- performing the technical operations required to run the platform.
Nothing beyond operating So Far So Good. The licence ends for a project when the Creator removes it, except as needed to honour Early Copies already delivered.
The same applies to other content you post — feedback, comments and messages: you keep it, and you allow us to display it within the platform as intended.
8. Anonymity
Every project is presented publicly as Anonymous. We know who uploaded it — identity is held securely server-side, as described in the Privacy Policy — but other members do not, unless and until the Creator chooses to reveal themselves.
Attempting to identify, unmask or pressure a Creator into revealing their identity is prohibited and treated as a serious breach of these terms and the Community Guidelines.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share, publish, re-upload or otherwise leak an Early Copy or any preview outside the platform;
- upload music you do not own or fully control the rights to, including uncleared samples;
- circumvent, scrape or archive the platform’s streaming links, signed URLs or other technical protections;
- harass, threaten or abuse other members, or attempt to unmask an Anonymous Creator;
- manipulate support activity, So Good reactions or charts through fake accounts or self-dealing;
- use the platform for anything unlawful.
The Community Guidelines set out how we expect members to treat each other and form part of these terms.
10. Intellectual property
Copyright in every project remains with the producer at all times. Every Early Copy Download carries embedded metadata stating this. Neither So Far So Good nor any Supporter acquires ownership of a Creator’s music.
You may only upload music you own or are authorised to share, and you are solely responsible for the content you upload. If you believe music on the platform infringes your rights, use the “Report a copyright issue” link on the track page or follow the process in our Copyright & Takedown Policy. What Supporters may and may not do with an Early Copy is set out in the Early Copy Terms.
11. Moderation and enforcement
The platform is moderated by Hosts. To keep members and their unreleased music safe, Hosts may remove content, flag or block accounts, and block network addresses associated with abuse. Every Early Copy Download carries a unique Download ID, and downloads are logged, so a leaked file can be traced to the account that downloaded it.
We may remove or disable access to content that infringes copyright, violates these terms or the incorporated policies, creates a legal risk, or that we are required by law to remove.
Blocked members lose the ability to request, unlock and download Early Copies and may lose access to other features. We apply enforcement proportionately and, where reasonable, will tell you what happened and why.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, the incorporated policies, or the law — including leaking Early Copies, uploading infringing music or abusing other members. Repeat copyright offenders have their accounts suspended or permanently closed. Where the breach is minor and fixable, we will normally warn you first.
You may close your account at any time through the contact form. On closure, your projects are removed from the platform; Early Copies already delivered to Supporters remain licensed under the Early Copy Terms and cannot be recalled. Because support payments go directly to Creators’ PayPal accounts, we never hold funds of yours.
13. Disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity
The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that a project will receive feedback or support, or that any Creator will earn money or be discovered. We are not a party to the relationship between a Creator and a Supporter: support payments are made directly between them through PayPal, and we only operate the platform around that payment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising out of the platform is limited to the greater of €100 and the amounts you paid through the platform in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or intent.
You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content you upload or from your breach of these terms — in particular claims that music you uploaded infringes someone else’s rights.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Principality of Andorra, and the courts of the Principality of Andorra have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, you keep the protections and forum rights that the law of your country of residence grants you.
Before starting any formal proceedings, please reach us through the contact form — most issues can be resolved directly.
15. Changes to these terms and contact
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. For material changes we will give notice on the platform or by email before they take effect; continuing to use So Far So Good after that date means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
