All music is anonymous
Here, it’s only about the music. No names or follower counts. Every track appears as Unknown Artist, so every track gets a fair chance to be heard and judged on its sound alone. Producers stay anonymous unless they choose to reveal their artist name, per track, to buyers after a paid download, or to a label that gets in touch.
New income streams
Earn from pre-released tracks, finished or still in progress. As long as the track is good enough to be heard, it’s welcome here. It often happens that good new music never gets heard: it never gets finished, the producer is unsure about it, it has hit a creative block, or it simply doesn’t match the producer’s sound. Now this music reaches early listeners and DJs, and anyone who wants to download the track needs to pay the producer. We also offer all members a commission for sharing any music from So Far So Good. When their sharing results in a paid download, they earn 20%.

“First Ideas” staged versions are excluded from radio. All other stages you upload are automatically added in rotation to give your new music its first audience directly.
Ways to make money
- Set your own minimum price for each track.
- Listeners offer what the track is worth to them. Their offer has to meet your minimum price, which they never see.
- After payment, listeners download your track in its original, highest quality.
- Pick any track on So Far So Good by another producer, and earn commission by sharing the Track ID or its unique link.
- Earn 20% commission on every sale you bring in.
- Buyers pay nothing extra when they buy through your links.

We built So Far So Good to support artists, not take more than we need from their music. Instead of imposing high fees, we believe in trust, fairness, and giving producers the freedom to choose.
After your first sale, you decide how much to share with us, from 0% to 30%, as your contribution to the platform that supports artists like you.
Your contribution keeps So Far So Good growing and motivates us to continue creating new opportunities for independent artists. We believe fairness goes both ways, and trust our producers to value what we build together.

Tips & tricks to earn more
- More good music = more earnings. Upload as many quality pre-released tracks as you like, even if they’re unfinished or outside your usual sound. Your artist name is hidden anyway, unless you choose to reveal it to buyers after a paid download.
- Direct sharing. Send your sharing link in DMs, WhatsApp groups or other chats. Let people scan the track’s QR code from your phone when they ask for the track.
- Share music in your Instagram Stories. On the track page, press Share, then “Create Story with sound” for a short video with your Track ID on screen. Post it to your Story and add a Link sticker with your sharing link.
- Play our tracks in your DJ sets and mixes. Upload your sets to SoundCloud, Mixcloud or YouTube and add the Track IDs or sharing links to the tracklist in the description. In timestamped comments where each track plays, use Track IDs only, without links, to avoid being marked as spam. Learn how to post Track IDs →
- YouTube and other video platforms. On the track, press Share, then “YouTube video · full track” to create a video with the Track ID and QR code. Upload it, then paste your sharing link into the video description or post the Track ID in the first comment.
- Share in your music channels and communities. Post Track IDs or sharing links so people can listen on So Far So Good. You can share mixes featuring the tracks, but never the individual track files.

Why do my uploaded tracks show “Unknown Artist”?
On So Far So Good, it’s only about the music, not names or follower counts. Every track is shared without the artist name, so each one gets an equal chance, judged on its sound alone. You can choose to reveal your artist name to buyers after a paid download, or to a record label that’s interested in your track.
What kind of music is on So Far So Good?
Pre-released underground and non-commercial music: rough ideas, demos, works in progress and finished tracks. Right now the catalogue is strongest in minimal house, minimal, organic house and rominimal, with vocal electronic, house, chillout and dark minimal close behind.
What happens when someone follows my track?
They get notified when you upload a new version, so they can watch your track evolve over time. Following is free and does not include download access.
When and how do I get paid?
You can request a payout once your earnings balance reaches €30. A flat fee applies to each payout. Your Earnings page shows the current threshold and payout fee.
What is an Early Copy?
An Early Copy is a paid download in the track’s original uploaded quality. You set a hidden minimum price, and buyers offer what the track is worth to them. Their payment includes all versions, plus any future versions you upload, at no extra cost.
Can I keep my track at one version?
Yes. Your track can stay at one version. Add a new version only if and when you want to.
Can I upload music I’ve already released?
Not as a first upload. So Far So Good focuses on pre-released music, including tracks listeners won’t find anywhere else.
If you share a track here before its official release, you can later add a Released version to the same timeline, whether released independently or through a label. You must have the rights to stream and sell that version here.
Will my tracks sell right away?
Right now, we’re focused on growing the music catalogue before starting the big promotions we’ve planned to bring in a large audience of paying listeners. Without enough good music to keep them coming back, we could lose their interest.
That’s why we kindly ask you to support us by uploading your music now and giving us a little time to prepare everything according to plan, so we can bring everyone as much extra income as possible once everything is ready.
For now, sales may need some time to start up and aren’t guaranteed. With everyone’s support, we believe we can get it all running optimally very soon.
